Dear PASCS Families:

We are looking forward to the 2024–2025/5785 school year! We are already planning new programs and learning opportunities for both parents and children and can't wait for the fall.

In this form you will find registration details for weekday classes, our required Shabbat program, and Hebrew tutoring.

For the first time, all Hebrew tutoring will be virtual, one-on-one, 20 minute sessions. We know that one-on-one is the best environment for all types of learners. Please note that in-person tutoring options are available for students with documented learning needs. There is a place on the form to indicate this.

You must complete one from per child.

If you have questions, as you are completing this form, please email Melissa Silverman Cohavi, Director, Congregational School at mscohavi@pasyn.org or call (212) 369-2600.

Child Information

A new form must be completed for each child in your family enrolling in Congregational School.

We will be using your child's Hebrew name in Congregational School. If your child needs to receive a Hebrew name, please be in touch with either a member of the clergy or Melissa Silverman Cohavi.

Child Placement

The Hebrew tutoring program for 24-25 is all one-on-one, 20-minute sessions on zoom. Please choose a 1 hour block of time when your child is available, and we will assign a 20 minute session as we get closer to September.

There is an option for students with documented learning differences to have in-person sessions based on availability, and we will work with families individually on this. If your child has a documented learning need, please reach out to Melissa Silverman Cohavi directly at mscohavi@pasyn.org. You should still register for a tutoring slot in this form if your child has a learning difference.

We strive to create balanced classrooms that support all learners with appropriate learning environments. Your thoughtful response to the following request is truly appreciated. Please tell us about your child’s learning style and any special learning needs. All information shared with us will be treated under strict confidence.
Inclusive Classrooms & One-on-one shadows
We will work with your family to accommodate your child's individual needs. The information you provide us will help us create the best learning environment for your child's success. Please contact Melissa Cohavi at mscohavi@pasyn.org to discuss in more detail.

Do you have any written documentation that may be beneficial for us to have in order to work more successfully with your child? This could include an Individualized Education Plan (IEP), 504, or a teacher's report. If so, please send or email a copy to Melissa Cohavi at mscohavi@pasyn.org.
