Montrell Ruffin was an ambitious, charismatic, and high-potential student whose career interests and passions were broad and evolving. His willingness and open mind to explore opportunities beyond the conventional pathways to success, was valuable and inspirational. This scholarship is designed to support students who have interest in plans after high school that may not have many options for funding. This includes (but is not limited to) college, military, entrepreneurship, trades, certificates, and those interested in immediately joining the workforce. Use of the funds will be at the student's discretion, to assist in defending their potential and fulfilling their dreams.

This scholarship is designed for high school students who have interests in pursuing college, military, entrepreneurship, apprenticeships, trades, certificates, or joining the workforce immediately after high school. Please share your plans for life after high school and how this scholarship can help you to defend your potential. Please also include why you believe that having a mentor is important throughout the process.
