IF APPLYING TO THE AFS GRANT FOR FEATURES IN PRODUCTION: Please note that this application, with a deadline of June 6, 2024, is for narrative and doc feature-length projects longer than 40 minutes to support pre-production, production, and post-production. NOTE: We are no longer funding distribution as its own grant category. Distribution funds may be requested as part of a post-production ask.

IF APPLYING TO THE AFS GRANT FEATURES IN DEVELOPMENT: Please note that this grant is for filmmakers with an established body of film work, including one completed and distributed feature film. Two recipients will receive an unrestricted $10,000 grant with deliverables due August 31, 2025. See Eligibility for more details.

Section 3 - Required Materials
IMPORTANT! 
  • Each attachment must be submitted as a PDF file. No exceptions. Uploading anything other than a PDF will prevent your application from being submitted.

  • Individual PDF files cannot exceed 4MB. 












Video Samples
Primary work samples can be no longer than 6 minutes. Submitting a full film, rough cut or more video material IN ADDITION to your 6 minute sample is highly recommended and encouraged. You should include a second sample in the "Additional Video Sample" field below. You must include a password protected link with your video samples (all samples in one timeline, so one link per project).

We encourage you to submit more film work as additional support material. If a rough cut of the film exists, it should be submitted below. This additional material does not have a time limit and can be a full feature film or short. Note: We do not accept hard copy DVD submissions.
