Dr. Shalini Menon is an associate editor at IOP Publishing. Dr Shalini is an award-winning scientist, innovator, and founder of ChemSensoRR. She translates breakthrough biosensor and quantum technologies into real-world impact, while driving innovation in science publishing at IOP publishing. In 2015, Dr Shalini was an official instructor at a Guinness World Record–breaking science outreach event. 



Alex Toporkov is a research integrity officer at IOP Publishing. Alex protects the integrity of scientific research by investigating misconduct and enhancing publishing policies. Alex studied Physics at university but struggled with undiagnosed ADHD. After completing his degree, Alex worked at Frontiers as a journal specialist at Frontiers, before joining IOP publishing. 


 


Rob Freeman is an associate editor at IOP Publishing. Rob manages submissions and the peer review process for four IOPP academic journals. He previously worked as an editorial assistant at IOPP and bring a unique perspective to the company through holding a BA and MA in History from Cardiff University.

Dr. Aswathy Girija is a subject commissioning editor at IOP Publishing, overseeing research in photonics, energy, materials science, and quantum technologies. She holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Cambridge, a master’s from Rice University, and dual degrees from IISER Pune. Committed to equity and accessibility in science, she has led the Women in Physics group at Cambridge, served on inclusion committees, and co-chaired science communication conferences.
