  • October 17, 2025 - New project/host site application due
  • October 24 - Notification of application decision
  • November 6 - Attend Supervisor Workshop Part 1
  • November 21 - Submit Site Agreement and first draft of workplan and position description (Literacy Minnesota staff will work closely with you on any revisions before submission to AmeriCorps for final approval)
  • November - January - Digital Navigator member recruitment, interviews, and selection
  • December 5 - Deadline for Organizational Assessment and initial non-refundable $1,000 payment toward cost-share due
  • December 9 - Attend Supervisor Workshop Part 2
  • January 9, 2026* - deadline to select final Digital Navigator candidate and remaining $8,000 cost-share payment
  • February 9, 2026* - Digital Navigator member begins service and national AmeriCorps Member Orientation (webinars/online coursework)

  • February 23-27* - Digital Navigator Early Service Training with Literacy Minnesota (webinars/online coursework, 2 hours each day)
*Alternate start dates will be available on February 23 and March 30. 

Cost-share
As part of your agency's commitment to host a Digital Navigator, the host agency contributes a cost-share financial match. The cost-share rate is currently $9,000 per AmeriCorps member. (An initial $1,000 payment will be due in October 2025, and the remainder will be invoiced once your member has accepted your offer.) 

Please note that cost-share rates may increase due to increases to the federal living allowance rates.

TARGET POPULATION
Economic Opportunity: serving young adult or adult individuals ages 16 or older; supporting digital development plans, utilization of Northstar Digital Literacy assessments, online learning resources, digital literacy tutoring, digital literacy classroom instruction, and referrals to low-cost internet, devices, adult education classes, and more.
