OVERVIEW OF SCHOLARSHIP

COABE recognizes that adult learners and their families often face barriers in life and employment and local education programs often struggle to secure the funding they need to ensure excellence. Through the generous work of the Educate and Elevate Foundation, established through seed funding provided by Essential Education, we hope to help offset some of these challenges for individuals and programs in our adult education community.

Eligibility: COABE provides scholarship funds to first-generation family members of currently enrolled or recently graduated adult learners not to exceed $1,000. Scholarships may support tuition, books, and/or course fees. Funds will not be paid toward debts/owed payments. Requirements: You must be a child of an adult learner. You must have an adult learner membership with COABE (no cost). You must have a standard 2.5 GPA or higher. You must provide a recommendation from a school counselor.
