OVERVIEW OF SCHOLARSHIP

COABE recognizes that adult learners and their families often face barriers in life and employment and local education programs often struggle to secure the funding they need to ensure excellence. Through the generous work of the Educate and Elevate Foundation, established through seed funding provided by Essential Education, we hope to help offset some of these challenges for individuals and programs in our adult education community.

Criteria: A local program who demonstrates the need for funding and resources that will be used to enrich adult learner experiences. These funds may be used for increasing/maintaining programming, funding initiatives or wrap-around services, or purchasing additional resources that will benefit adult learners (computers, devices, Wi-Fi, etc.)

Requirements: - Your program must have current membership with COABE. - Your program must be currently listed on our Move Ahead with Adult Ed map as a local program affiliate with paid annual dues.

I understand that applicants for scholarships may be included in the Educate and Elevate public awareness campaign, which includes showcasing the applicant's story and picture on COABE's communications including but not limited to the website, eblasts, and social media.
