Thank you for your interest in leaving a legacy gift to either Donaldina Cameron House and/or Cameron House Foundation! Sharing your estate gift intentions to either organization admits you into the Cameron House Legacy Circle, an elite group of visionary alumni and friends who believe in and want to sustain Cameron House’s mission and work for generations to come. Legacy Circle members receive special recognition in our Annual Reports and website, donor perks and behind-the-scenes updates, and exclusive or early access to Cameron House events. We want you to feel connected to our plans and proud of your future investment.

This form is for planning purposes only and is not a legally binding document. You can revoke or modify this future commitment at any time. All information regarding this intended gift will remain confidential, unless you authorize otherwise. 


What’s the difference between leaving a planned gift to Donaldina Cameron House and Cameron House Foundation? 

A planned gift designated to Donaldina Cameron House, tax ID 94-1618605, supports the organization’s immediate and ongoing needs—funding essential programs, staffing, community outreach, and the care and maintenance of our historic building. Legacy gifts to Donaldina Cameron House are often put to work in the same fiscal year in which the gift was received.

A gift designated to the Cameron House Foundation, tax ID 94-2978157, by contrast, is invested for the long term. These funds are managed as part of an endowment, keeping the principal amount intact while the revenue from the interest and investments grows over time and provides a stable and consistent source of funding to Cameron House.

Some members of the Legacy Circle choose to support both organizations—making a gift that meets today’s needs while also investing in the future. We welcome and honor that approach as well.

Whichever option you choose supports Cameron House’s mission and work—for which we are deeply grateful. While the information (which org or a combination of both, amount/percentage from your estate, and how you’d like your name and gift to be memorialized, for example) you’ll provide below will help us most efficiently and intentionally steward your future gift exactly to your intentions upon your passing, you must consult with your own legal and financial advisors to formalize your intention.
