Eligibility
Wellbeing

If you are seeking help with your wellbeing, you can do so at any time through the information and resources on our website. You do not need to complete an application form for this type of support.

The Wellbeing Support for the Dental Teams: A UK guide is a free resource that signposts to other services and organisations.

Financial

We support all dentists/ students and are independent of the British Dental Assocation (BDA). You do not need to be a member of the BDA to seek support.

If you are a dental student, you should apply to and receive the outcome of, your universities hardship fund first.

We are unable to offer financial support to other dental care professionals or international dentists who aren't refugees.

Financial aid is usually given to those that do not have enough money through their income (earnings/student loan/ benefits/ insurance etc) and/or savings to be able to manage their current essential living costs

Applicants should have less than £10,000 in their combined accounts. This is including total household income but excluding funds set aside for tax.

Decisions for financial help are based on the information you provide in the form. You must provide bank statements for all your bank accounts covering the last three months. The data provided in this application form will be cross referenced against the details in your bank statements.

Thank you for your interest in the BDA Benevolent Fund. However, we are unable to offer any assistance as applicants must be living in the UK to be eligible for support.
