Survivor Involvement

Galop is planning a programme to involve LGBT+ survivors of abuse and violence in our work as a charity.

To begin with we have two main aims for this work:
1. LGBT+ survivors will have increased confidence and feel more empowered to speak about their experiences;
2. Galop will ensure that our services, policies and campaigns reflect LGBT+ survivors’ needs.

This survey will help us develop opportunities for survivors to be involved and it is to be completed by LGBT+ survivors of abuse and violence (such as domestic abuse, sexual abuse or violence, forced marriage so-called conversion therapy and so-called honour based violence).

Completing this survey is optional, please consider and put your wellbeing first.

Thank you for completing the survey!

If this survey has brought up any feelings for you and you need a listening ear or one-off support, please feel free to reach out to our helpline on 0800 999 5428.

If you are currently at risk of or experiencing abuse and you need Galop’s support, then please do get in touch, by referring yourself into our services - https://galop.org.uk/make-a-referral/.
