CBAA Summer 2024-25 Photo Competition

The CBAA is calling on community broadcasters to share photos from their outside broadcasts in 2024 and early 2025. Entrant stations go in to the running to win one of two $200 JB Hi-Fi vouchers. 

Your photos will help CBAA to showcase the great work community broadcasters do engaging with local communities.

  1. TERMS AND CONDITIONS


  2. Competition Period 

  1. The CBAA Summer 2024-25 Photo Competition (the "Competition") commences at 9:00 AM AEDT on Monday, 2 December 2024, and concludes at 5:00 PM AEDT on Friday, 7 February 2025 (the "Competition Period"). 


  1. Eligibility 

a. The Competition is open to Australian community broadcasting stations that are current members of the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA). 

b. Individual submissions will not be accepted. Entries must be authorised by station management, and prizes will be awarded to stations, not individuals. 


  1. How to Enter 

a. To participate, eligible stations must submit their entry using the form provided. Stations may include multiple photos as part of a single entry. 

b. Entries submitted via other methods, including email or social media, will not be considered. 

c. Each station may submit only one (1) entry. Additional or duplicate entries will not be accepted. 

 

  1. Prizes 

Two (2) winning entries will be selected to receive $200 JB Hi-Fi gift vouchers. The vouchers will be awarded to the respective stations. 


  1. Judging and Prize Draw 

a. The winners will be selected through a random draw conducted by CBAA. 

b. The draw will take place no later than Tuesday, 18 February 2025. 

c. Winners will be notified via the contact details provided in their entry form. 


  1. Use of Submitted Photos 

a. By entering, stations grant CBAA a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use the submitted photos for promotional and publication purposes. 

b. Photos may be used by CBAA in various publications, including but not limited to social media, CBAA reports such as annual reviews, and promotional materials for CBAA products, services, and events. 


  1. Conditions of Entry 

a. By entering, stations confirm they have obtained any necessary permissions from individuals featured in their photos. 

b. By entering, entrants confirm they have received permission to do so from station management. 

c. The submitted photo must not contain offensive, defamatory, or inappropriate content. CBAA reserves the right to disqualify any entry that violates these terms. 


  1. General Conditions 

a. The prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other alternatives. 

b. CBAA reserves the right to amend or cancel the Competition at its sole discretion without prior notice. 

c. By participating in the Competition, entrants agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions. 


  1. Privacy 

Personal information collected as part of the entry process will be handled in accordance with CBAA's Privacy Policy and used only for the purposes of administering this Competition.
