Thank you for your interest in applying for an HFLS-Keshet Move To Thrive Interest-Free Loan. Completing this application is the first step in the loan process. IMPORTANT: Please read through ALL of the eligibility requirements, application instructions, and loan information on the HFLS-Keshet Move to Thrive Loan webpage before completing this application.

To complete this application, you will need the following information for you (and your partner/spouse, if applicable):

  • Annual pre-tax household income (if you are paid by the hour, please estimate your pay for the entire year at your hourly rate)

  • Start date at your current job (month and year; use January for the month if unsure)

  • Social Security Number (if you have one)

  • Color scan or photo of both sides of your photo ID (driver or non-driver license, passport, passport card, or green card are all fine) in PDF, JPEG, or PNG format

  • Download a PDF of all pages of your most recent checking account statement from your bank's mobile app or website, OR provide a scanned copy of all pages.


After you submit your application:
  • Keshet will receive an email to confirm that they referred you for an HFLS-Keshet Move to Thrive Loan.

  • Your spouse or domestic partner (if you are married or partnered) will receive an email from HFLS notifying them that they will be included as a co-borrower if the loan is approved, and asking that they click a link to confirm.

  • Your proposed guarantor will receive an email from HFLS with a link to complete a secure, online guarantor form.


Please inform your spouse or domestic partner and proposed guarantor so they know to expect the emails above, and to check their spam email folder if they do not see it in their inbox.

Once HFLS has received all of the above, an HFLS staff member will contact you to schedule a 15-minute loan interview by phone.

HFLS-Keshet Move to Thrive Loan Guarantor Information
HFLS-Keshet Move to Thrive Loans require one guarantor, regardless of your requested loan amount. Guarantors must be willing and able to repay the HFLS loan if you do not. You and/or your spouse may NOT guarantee your loan.
Guarantors must meet the following requirements:
  • US citizens or permanent residents currently residing in the US.
  • Currently employed (HFLS prefers persons who have worked at least one year in their present position), or if retired, can demonstrate their ability to repay the loan through pension/retirement income or assets.
  • Has a checking account, good credit, and annual, pre-tax household income of at least $50,000.
Even if they meet the criteria above, guarantor may NOT:
  • Be you, your spouse, or your dependents
  • Have a current loan from HFLS
  • Currently serve as a guarantor on an outstanding HFLS loan
  • Seem financially unable to repay the loan
A married couple is considered one guarantor; if your loan is approved, the guarantor's spouse must also sign the Promissory Note.

Every HFLS loan requires a qualified guarantor. HFLS cannot process your loan application without a guarantor. 
Guarantor 1 Information
Your guarantor may NOT use the same email address as you or your spouse.
Upload Your ID
Please upload a clear picture of your spouse's photo ID. Any government photo ID that includes a photo is acceptable. HFLS must receive your ID copy/copies before we can close your loan.
Upload Your Bank Information
Please upload all pages of your most recent personal checking account statement. The statement should clearly show your name, address, bank name, and checking account number.

HFLS will use this information to electronically disburse your loan funds directly into your checking account and to collect monthly repayments from your account. 
REQUIRED: ID-Pal Verification and Plaid Authorization
After you submit your application, you will receive an email from HFLS that includes links to:
  1. Securely verify your identity and government-issued photo ID using a unique ID-Pal verification link. (Accepted IDs: US passport or passport card, green card, other US national ID, US driver license or non-driver ID.) This is necessary to prevent identity theft and fraud.   2. Authorize HFLS to review your recent bank account activity through a unique Plaid authorization link. This is necessary to prevent fraud and ensure applicants are capable of repaying an HFLS loan. Please click here for more information about Plaid and why HFLS uses it.

ID-Pal verifications are required for all applicants and their guarantors; Plaid authorization is required for all applicants.
Moving Documentation
HFLS will receive documentation proof of your move to a different state within six months of you receiving an HFLS loan. This documentation may take the form of a signed lease or sublease, home purchase confirmation, or moving expense (e.g. moving van rental or proof of payment to a moving company) and must include your name, new address, and the date the documentation was signed or provided to you.

HFLS will send monthly reminder emails that contain a secure link for you to upload your moving documentation. If you have not moved within six months of receiving the loan, HFLS reserves the right to ask for immediate full repayment of the outstanding balance.
