Certificate in Purpose-Driven and Character Leadership

The Certificate in Purpose-Driven and Character Leadership is a Western University certificate program for undergraduate students provided by the Ian O. Ihnatowycz Institute for Leadership at Ivey Business School. It will have a cohort limited to 75 students total. We aim to have a balanced and diverse cohort.

No leadership experience is required to apply. Students must have an overall average of 70% or higher and no course lower than 60%. Additionally, students are responsible for ensuring the 1.5 Ivey Leadership credits, as well as 1.5 credits from the pre-approved course list, fit in their schedules before the time of their graduation. Students are advised to check prerequisites carefully. Students who are enrolled in Ivey HBA or plan to attend Ivey’s HBA program (and currently have AEO status) are not eligible for the Certificate at this time.

Due to generous funding from BMO, the certificate is provided at no additional cost assuming students can fit required courses in their four-year undergraduate program (any additional courses/terms/semesters will be billed according to Western policies).
