At the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation, we envision a just and equitable New Jersey where people of all races and communities have equal opportunities to thrive. Our mission is to work towards economic equity and justice for all New Jerseyans by closing the racial wealth gap in the state.

Our strategy focuses on two powerful drivers of wealth building and long-term economic security:

·       Housing Choice  
Expanding equitable opportunities to safe and affordable housing enables families to build generational wealth, strengthen communities, and reduce the racial wealth divide. 

·       Pathways to Economic Security and Mobility 
Supporting pathways for individuals to earn more - through education, training, entrepreneurship, and fair wages - ensures families have the resources to save, invest, and achieve economic security.

Through this focus, the Dodge Foundation is dedicating its resources to programs and initiatives that strengthen housing access and income pathways to support long-term economic security across the state. While our partnerships remain statewide, we are currently prioritizing deeper engagement in Newark, Paterson, Trenton, Camden and exploratory efforts in Atlantic City.
