Thank you for your interest in learning about supporting a young person impacted by foster care through a mentoring relationship. This form will collect pre-and post-survey data on topics covered in the following videos:

  • Foster Care 101 (Copyright Dec. 2024, Silver Lining Mentoring): A foundational guide providing an overview of the foster care system and the unique challenges faced by young people in care.
  • Relational Considerations for Mentoring Youth in Foster Care (Copyright Jan. 2025, Silver Lining Mentoring): A guide for deeper exploration of the relational dynamics critical to mentoring youth in foster care, emphasizing trauma-informed practices and the importance of trust-building.

The data collected from this form will be de-identified and shared with Silver Lining Mentoring (SLM), a nonprofit organization serving young people impacted by foster care with mentoring relationships. SLM created the training videos and will collect evaluation data to assess the impact of the videos, mentor learning trends, and qualitative feedback.
