Accident Waiver and Release of Liability

I hereby assume the risks of participating in any and all activities associated with the 2025 Green Teams Gathering, June 21, 2025, at Wolfe’s Neck Center for Agriculture and the Environment in Freeport, Maine. I hereby take action for myself, my executors, administrators, heirs, next of kin, successors, and assigns as follows:

A. Waive, Release, and Discharge The BTS Center, Wolfe’s Neck Center for Agriculture and the Environment, and all partners and sponsors, and/or their directors, officers, employees, volunteers, representatives, and agents, and the activity holders, sponsors, and volunteers, from any and all liability, for my death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft, actions of any kind which may hereafter occur to me including my traveling to and from this activity, or claims of any nature which may hereafter accrue to me and my estate as a direct or indirect result of my participation in the above referenced activity;

B. Indemnify and Hold Harmless the entities or persons mentioned in this waiver from and against any and all liabilities or claims of any nature, including all costs, expenses, and attorneys' fees, which in any manner result from participating in this activity or event.

I hereby consent to receive emergency medical treatment which may be deemed advisable in the event of injury, accident, and/or illness during this activity.

I acknowledge that this Accident Waiver and Release of Liability Form shall be construed broadly to provide a release and waiver to the maximum extent permissible under applicable law. I agree that if any portion is held invalid, the remainder will continue in full legal force and effect.

I, the undersigned participant, affirm that I am at least 18 years of age and am signing this agreement of my own free will. I understand that by signing this form I am giving up legal rights and/or remedies which may otherwise be available to me regarding any losses I may sustain as a result of my participation. I have read this form and fully understand that it is a release of liability and a contract. I agree and understand that in typing my name, I am providing an electronic signature, which is the legally binding equivalent to my handwritten signature.
