Art Showcase Rules
Showcase Rules
- Original Artwork Only – All submissions must be original and created by the artist. AI-generated art is strictly prohibited.
- Accepted Mediums – Paintings, drawings, digital art (non-AI), photography, mixed media, and sculpture are accepted. No video or performance art.
- Submission Format – Digital images of artwork (JPEG, PNG, or PDF) must be submitted. Sculptures require multiple angles. High resolution is recommended.
- Theme Requirement – Artwork should relay some aspect of the cancer experience as a young person.
- One Entry Per Person – Each participant may enter no more than one submission.
- No Hate Speech or Inappropriate Content – Submissions must not contain offensive, discriminatory, or graphic imagery.
- Submission Deadline – All entries must be received by Friday, April 17th, 2026. Late submissions will not be accepted.
Eligibility Criteria
- Artist Requirement – In an effort to be inclusive of all international definitions for Adolescent & Young Adult (AYA), this showcase is open to individuals currently aged 12-39 of all countries. Artists must be:
- AYA patient/survivor who was diagnosed with cancer between 12-39 years old.
- Friends, family members and caregivers of an AYA cancer patient or survivor.
- Healthcare or non-profit professionals that actively work with AYA’s.
- Ownership of Information: You retain full ownership of all information, media, and stories you provide.
- Use of Information: All information provided can be used for the purposes of the Art Connects Cancer: Art Showcase and any related content.
- Right to Withdraw: You have the right to withdraw any information you provide at any time. We encourage you to only share information you are comfortable with. If you would like to withdraw or modify any information you have provided please email caya@irishcancer.ie.
- Anonymity: If preferred, you may remain anonymous in the final gallery. If you choose not to be a named participant, we will replace your name with an alias for the gallery.
