The IOCDF is pleased to offer a scholarship opportunity for professionals, trainees, and students who work with underrepresented populations.
The Working with Diversity Scholarship is part of the IOCDF’s commitment to ensuring our OCD community is inclusive of all people, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, or sexuality. We hope that this scholarship will provide those who work with minority communities the opportunity to learn from the Annual OCD Conference's myriad of resources and will in turn improve access to treatment for diverse populations the world over.
There are 2 Types of Working with Diversity Scholarships we will be awarding:
- Clinical Professional Scholarship (4 Available)
- Students/Pre-Licensed Trainee Scholarship (2 Available)
We will be granting several scholarships for the 30th Annual OCD Conference to independently licensed clinical professionals and Student/Pre-Licensed Trainees who meet at least 1 of the following criteria:
- Individuals of color.
- Individuals who practice therapy in languages other than English.
- Individuals who work with a significant portion of patients of color, patients with public insurance (Medicare, Medicaid), and/or patients of a low socioeconomic status.
The scholarship will be granted based on a review of answers to application questions and the applicant’s CV. Preference will be given to first-time attendees, full-time clinicians, and those working in underserved areas and/or communities. If accepted, scholarship winners will be able to attend the full Annual OCD Conference at the following rates:
Scholarship recipients will pay 30% of the full registration price (or at a 70% discount) for either the Pre-Licensed Trainee/Student level or the Clinician level. For example, for the in-person Full Conference, a pre-licensed trainee would pay $90 instead of $300 and a clinician would pay $202.5 instead of $675 (at the early bird rate).
