Membership Categories

First Year Members: We encourage first year members to invest in community and pay full membership dues. However, we understand that circumstances vary and will accommodate a 50% dues reduction if needed. After your first fiscal year, full dues will be assessed according to the above schedule.

Honorary Levels – Giving at the below levels enables the synagogue to provide for those who are in financial need. Support at honorary levels will be recognized in the Temple Chronicle, unless otherwise instructed.

Congregation Emanu-El believes that finances* should never be a barrier to being part of our community. If you are on a fixed income or otherwise unable to cover your membership dues, please contact ESolomonCook@emanuelsf.org.

Our membership cycle runs on the fiscal year: July 1 – June 30 and all dues are 100% tax deductible.

*All financial conversations are confidential. No one will be turned away due to financial circumstances.

We ask that you support the Congregation at whatever level is possible. Please consider making a one-time payment now. Alternately, you may elect installments and your credit card or checking account will be charged monthly. If you choose the installment option, your first payment will be charged today. Final dues payments need to be complete by June 30, 2027.
