Mortgage lenders require/prefer applicants to provide evidence of a minimum of 2 years of employment in the same profession to qualify you for a mortgage loan.
A minimum of $3,000 in savings is required to be available in a savings account at the time of application, and the availability of these funds will then be verified at the time of loan application and again prior to closing. This $3,000 requirement does not include funds that will be required by your lender for down payment and closing costs, which may vary from an additional $4,500 up to $9,000 or more (estimate only).
