BECOMING A MEMBER

Thank you for your interest in joining the National Guild for Community Arts Education.


Guild membership connects individuals and organizations to a national community committed to strengthening arts learning in communities across the country. 


Members gain access to regional and practice-based networks, year-round professional learning through Guild Essentials, leadership development opportunities, resources, and discounted participation in Guild convenings and programs.


Our FY27 membership model is designed to be simple, transparent, and accessible:

Individual Memberships

  • Teaching Artist Membership: $50/year
  • Arts Ally Membership (administrators, consultants, leaders, and other practitioners): $90/year

Organizational Memberships

  • Organizations with annual budgets under $250,000: $175/year
  • Organizations with annual budgets over $250,000: $500/year

Before you begin: To complete your application in one sitting, we recommend having the following information available, as applicable:

  • Contact information for the primary applicant
  • Organization name, website, and mailing address (for organizational memberships)
  • A brief organization description or mission statement
  • Annual operating budget range (for organizational memberships)
  • Organization logo (optional)
  • Primary disciplines, programs, and areas of artistic focus
  • Geographic service area (state(s) and/or region(s) served)
  • Social media links (optional)
  • Membership and network interests
  • Responses to a few short questions about your work, goals, and how you hope to engage with the Guild
  • Payment information to complete your membership dues

Most applications take approximately 10–15 minutes to complete.


To apply, please select the membership category that best reflects your role or organization. The form will then guide you through the information needed to complete your application.

Applications are typically reviewed and processed within 10 business days of submission.

The Guild is committed to ensuring that financial barriers do not prevent participation. If membership fees present a hardship, please email administrator@nationalguild.org with the subject line "Membership Support Request" to discuss available options.

MEMBERSHIP CATEGORY

Beginning in July 2026, the National Guild has two membership categories that are determined based on your eligibility. To begin, please select which membership category you are applying for. 

Note to organizations: To ensure that folks at your organization are deepening their knowledge of the field, staying informed of the Guild’s activities, and taking full advantage of professional development and networking opportunities, individuals affiliated with your membership will receive unique member logins with which they may access our online resources and register for Guild events.

Affiliated Individuals
Ensure that folks at your organization are deepening their knowledge of the field, staying informed of the Guild’s activities, and taking full advantage of professional development and networking opportunities. Individuals affiliated to your membership will receive unique member logins with which they may access our online resources and register for Guild events.

Please provide contact information for up to three (3) individuals at your organization (including yourself) who wish to receive membership benefits. Each contact must have a unique email address.

The "Primary Contact" is the organization or division's main representative ; the primary contact's email will be visible to other logged in members only in the member directory. This person is also the primary Organization Admin, managing  your organization's account, including updating the organization's online profile, handling renewal/billing, and adding/removing affiliated users.

If there is a person other than the primary contact and org admin who handles payment of membership for your organization, you may appoint them as the "Billing Contact" to receive your membership renewal link towards the end of your membership year. If your billing contact is not any single person, but a team or department with a shared email, please enter your organization name or abbreviation of your organization name in the "First Name" field and "Billing" in the "Last Name" field for your "Billing Contact" to create a dummy account for billing.  Note that this person will not receive membership benefits.  If you wish for the billing contact to be one of your three benefit recipients, please also fill out their information in a separate contact spot below.

Additional Users

Additional users are individuals within your organization who will receive the benefits of your organizational membership. They will have their own unique login credentials to access member resources, register for Guild programs and events, connect with peers across the field, and stay informed about Guild initiatives and opportunities.

Each affiliated user must have a unique email address. Up to three (3) individuals, including the Primary Contact, may be designated to receive membership benefits.

MEMBER SURVEY


ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP FEE

Our FY27 membership structure is designed to be straightforward, accessible, and responsive to the realities of the field. Membership provides year-round access to Guild networks, professional learning opportunities, resources, and a national community of peers and practitioners.

We are happy to discuss available options and work with you to identify a path to participation.

The National Guild accepts credit card payments. Credit card payments will be processed immediately, and your membership will be activated upon approval.
