About Wise Readers to Leaders: Wise Readers to Leaders is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization focused on closing the literacy achievement gap that often occurs during the summer, known as the "summer slide" and mitigating the pandemic learning loss. Our mission is to prevent summer literacy loss for students in grades K-8 from underserved communities in the Los Angeles County area. Our culturally responsive curriculum empowers scholars to gain a love of learning, a strong sense of community, and confidence in their academic abilities.
