The Philadelphia Bar Foundation is excited to announce that applications for the 2025 R. Nicholas Gimbel Fund 3-Day Trial Advocacy Training have opened! The trainings are set to run from , December 3, 2025, to Friday, December 5, 2025. These trainings are exclusively available to attorneys employed at public interest organizations funded by the Philadelphia Bar Foundation and offers a valuable opportunity for professional growth.

Thanks to a collaborative effort between the Philadelphia Bar Foundation’s R Nicholas Gimbel Fund for Legal Excellence and a generous grant from the National Institute for Trial Advocacy (NITA), this training is being offered at no cost. The trainings will be hosted at the Philadelphia offices of Troutman Pepper, 3000 Two Logan Square, Eighteenth and Arch Streets, 31st Floor, Philadelphia, PA 19103.

Interested candidates are encouraged to apply promptly to secure their spot in this outstanding training opportunity.

Training Schedule:

November 19th @ noon: A brief pre-training orientation will take place via Zoom. The session will be recorded and shared with those unable to attend.

December 3-5 9am-5pm: The in-person training will be held at Troutman Pepper, 3000 Two Logan Square, Eighteenth and Arch Streets, 31st Floor, Philadelphia, PA 19103

Post-Training Reception: All participants are invited to join a reception at Troutman immediately following the training on Tuesday, December 5th.

Important Notes:

CLE Credit Requirement: Attendance for the entire three days is mandatory to receive CLE Credit. Partial credit will not be granted.

Limited Spaces Available: Everyone who is interested should register. Due to space constraints, we may need to limit the number of staff attending from any one nonprofit, in order to ensure at least one staff person from each nonprofit may attend. Please complete the registration form by June 16, 2025 to secure your spot.
