Open to volunteer attorneys and legal services provider staff, volunteers must accept a pro bono commitment in order to attend.
- Participants attending Part 1 must volunteer at 2 Maryland Immigrant Legal Assistance Project (MILAP) consult clinics within 1 year of training.
- Participants attending Part 2 must volunteer to help 2 parents and/or caregivers to create their plan in conjunction with a project partner (either at a clinic or by taking a case).
- Participants attending both sessions must volunteer at 1 consult clinic and help 1 family and/or caregiver create their plan (either at a clinic or by taking a case).
Volunteer participants of Part 1 must be licensed to practice law in any state, but volunteer participants of Part 2 must be licensed to practice in Maryland.
