Access Reelworld Wage Subsidy Program - Company Application

Program Details: 

This Access Reelworld Wage Subsidy Program, supported by the Canada Media Fund, is designed to create meaningful, full-time placement opportunities for Black, Indigenous, South Asian, Asian, and People of Colour within high-ranking production companies in the Canadian screen industry. Through this initiative, Reelworld will provide a wage subsidy to support the hiring of a candidate for a six-month placement, with the goal of fostering long-term career growth and industry access.


Eligibility Requirement:
  • Participating companies must be CMPA members
  • Companies must have a physical office 
  • Companies must have at least 1 project in development or production for the duration of the placement 
  • Companies must have a minimum of 5 full time staff 
  • Companies must have been in operation for a minimum of 5 years
  • Companies must be legally incorporated  
Placement Duration and Funding
  • Placements must run for six consecutive months.
  • Placements must start before August 15, 2025 and be completed before February 15, 2026
  • Selected candidates will receive $25,000 for the six-month placement
  • Companies will receive $5,000 to support training and other candidate related expenses during their placement
