Kids for Peace

Thank you for applying to be a Kids for Peace Intern! This program is open to Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors at any Carlsbad high school. As an intern, you will have dynamic hands-on experiences,

earn community service hours, make a positive impact on your community and learn what's involved in running a non-profit organization.

Examples of hands-on experiences include:

Helping plan and prepare for our first ever Peace Fest on the International Day of Peace (9/21)
Organizing the 2026 Great Kindness Challenge Community Kickoff Event
Assisting with 2026 Peace Hero Gala planning and preparation
Supporting local elementary and middle school Kids for Peace chapter activities
Representing Kids for Peace at community events
Creating promotional materials (e.g. making posters, flyers and videos)
Invitation to the 2026 Volunteer Tour to Kenya

Internship Agreement

As a Kids for Peace Intern:

I understand that my level of engagement in this internship will determine the experience I get out of it.

I understand this is an application for a volunteer position with Kids for Peace for which there is no monetary compensation.

I agree to uphold the Mission & Vision of Kids for Peace and do my best to live by the words of the Peace Pledge.

I understand that this internship is a 1 year commitment, meeting monthly for an hour and a half on the Sage Creek High School campus.

I understand that if I am unable to attend a meeting, it is my responsibility to email info@kidsforpeaceglobal.org to let the Kids for Peace team know

I understand that I am expected to make at least half of the meetings/events throughout the course of the internship; official certificates will be provided to only those who attend half of the opportunities or more.

I certify that all information provided on this application is true and complete.

I understand that by default I will be placed on the Kids for Peace Internship email distribution list.

I understand that I will be eligible to participate in this internship every year I am in high school, but will need to re-apply every year.
