The Travis Mills Foundation recognizes and welcomes service dogs who attend our retreat with their veterans. However, we must prioritize the safety and comfort of all our guests during their stay. Pets or emotional support animals (ESA's) are NOT authorized at our retreat facility. The Americans with Disability Act (ADA) defines service dogs as dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for a person with a disability. Only service dogs that meet this requirement are allowed at our retreat. Service dogs must be well-trained, should not be disruptive to other guests, or damaging to the grounds or facility.
It is illegal in most states to pass off an untrained dog as a service dog. This issue is taken very seriously, and you will be asked to leave the retreat at your own cost if you bring any animal other than a task-trained service dog as defined by the ADA.
As airline guidelines are constantly changing, the Travis Mills Foundation will denote that you are traveling with a service animal on your reservation. Once you are provided with your confirmed itinerary, it is your responsibility to contact the airline to provide any necessary information regarding traveling with the animal. In most cases, the airline will only speak directly with the traveler/handler regarding this matter.
By checking below, I am acknowledging that I understand and will only bring a task trained service dog to the Travis Mills Foundation Retreat.
