CNC Lathe Course – Interest Form

This interest form is for IAM District 751 and W24 members who would like to enroll in the CNC Lathe Course offered by the Machinists Institute.


Note: Submitting this form does not guarantee placement. Registrants will be enrolled on a first-come, first-served basis. If space becomes available, you will be contacted by the Machinists Institute directly.

Course Description

This 80-hour course introduces students to foundational Manual lathe operations and is a required prerequisite for the CNC Lathe course. Instruction focuses on safe setup, operation, tooling, and completion of a hands-on lathe project.

  • CAD/CAM Programing

  • CNC Lathe Setup

  • CNC Lathe Tool Holding and Utilization

  • CNC Lathe Feed Rate and Speed Adjustment

  • CNC Lathe operation

  • CNC Lathe Hands-on Project

Please Note: Participants must have successfully completed or challenged the Basic Lathe course to be eligible for this course. 

Schedule and Location
Courses are offered in morning, evening, and Saturday formats to accommodate various work shifts. Final class times will be confirmed based on interest and availability.
