Scotty's Further Education Grant

This grant is available to all 16+ Scotty Members who may need additional support with their education and training costs.

This is a one-off grant of up to the maximum value £500, to be used to cover or contribute toward:

Purchase of books
Purchase of laptop
Other equipment directly related to the course enrolled on
Equipment needed to help with any accessibility arrangements for example if you have a SEND need.

The grant cannot be used for college fees, travel, or meals while studying.

The grant is available to Scotty’s members bereaved of parent who served in the British Armed Forces

We understand that completing forms can be difficult for some, if you need help completing this form please get in touch with the Scotty's team. Applications can be completed via interview with a member of the Scotty's team where required.

Evidence

Before any application can be approved, the Scotty team will need to see proof from the provider and the costs involved. This can be in the form of an email, a letter, an invoice / receipt. Please attach the proof of payment here. For the easiest way simple take a photo of the letter/invoice and attached.

Feedback

Please note, by applying for this grant you are agreeing to complete a feedback survey which will collect data about how your grant was spent, what the grant enabled you to do, and how your course went. This data is a requirement of the funding. If we do not get this data we will not be able to offer grants to future members.

But we also just really love hearing all the stories of how our grants have helped, and how you are getting on. Your stories are inspirational both for our team and for our younger members. So please do stay in touch with us! Pictures also welcome!

Applications will be considered by the Scotty Team

Applicants will be notified by email within 14 days of whether their application has been successful or not.

Only one application can be made per Member and grants will not exceed £500.

Successful applications will require payment to Scotty Members directly, unless there is a preference for direct payment to education providers.
