PAVE’s Pierce “Parent 2 Parent Family/Affinity/Support Groups” provides a
nurturing environment for caregivers to connect, share experiences, and receive
guidance. Here, you come together to discuss challenges, celebrate successes,
and exchange practical strategies for raising children with disabilities.
Through mutual understanding and empathy, these groups offer emotional support,
valuable resources, and a sense of community, helping families navigate the
unique journey of caring for their exceptional children.
Please note
that all groups supply the following:
- A dedicated
space for individuals to find others who share their life experiences.
- Facilitated
meetings focused on topics that reflect parents’ and caregivers’
perspectives and needs in raising children, youth, and adults with
disabilities.
- Information and
resources on PAVE programs, services, and upcoming events.
- Live
parent-to-parent emotional support.
*Additionally, P2P groups specific to cultural and linguistic communities
(Native, Spanish-speaking, and Black & African American families) are
facilitated by a PAVE facilitator who is a cultural and linguistic match for
the families served.
