Tax Clinic Program Eligibility

The Food Banks Mississauga Free Virtual Tax Clinic is available to people with modest incomes and simple tax situations:

This includes:

Adults 65 years and older
Housing-insecure individuals
Indigenous Peoples
Modest-income individuals
Newcomers
Persons with disabilities
Students and youth

Must meet the following criteria:

Must have a social insurance number
Individual income of $40,000 or less
Family income of $55,000 or less (at least 2 people) - add $5,000 for each additional dependent
No capital gains or losses from the sale of stocks, mutual funds etc.
No interest income over $1,000
No foreign income other than USA Social Security
No foreign property or assets
No self-employment income or expenses (includes Uber and delivery services)
You do not have any income from renting out a property to another person?
Return not for a deceased person
