The Community-Engaged Practice and Innovation Awards recognize the breadth of Cornell's commitment to community-engaged learning. Awards are given to faculty of any rank from each of Cornell University's 13 colleges and schools and staff from Student and Campus Life who have led students in innovative curricular, co-curricular or extra-curricular community engagement. Anyone can nominate, and self-nominations are accepted.

Nominations are due Monday January 12, 2026, 11:59pm.

Please contact the Einhorn Center's Whitney Tassie with any questions.

In the following text field or in an uploaded file, please describe

  • how the nominee’s work fulfills the four elements of high-quality community-engaged learning;
  • the impact of the nominee’s community-engaged learning program(s); and
  • how the nominee’s community-engaged learning contributions are serving as a model for others in the unit/department/college/school or for  audiences external to Cornell.
