3D Printing Course – Interest Form

This interest form is for IAM District 751 and W24 members who would like to enroll in the 3D Printing Course offered by the Machinists Institute.


Note: Submitting this form does not guarantee placement. Registrants will be enrolled on a first-come, first-served basis. If space becomes available, you will be contacted by the Machinists Institute directly.

Course Description

This 8-hour course introduces students to the fundamentals of desktop 3D printing. Instruction focuses on safe assembly, basic calibration, slicing software, and the first successful print. 


Skills Covered:

  • Setup

  • Introduction to Additive Manufacturing Concepts

  • Slicing Software Basics and Print Preparation

  • Printer Calibration and Maintenance

  • Material Loading and First Print Execution

  • Hands-On Printing Project

Please Note: No prior manufacturing or machining experience is required for this course.

Schedule and Location
Courses are offered in morning, evening, and Saturday formats to accommodate various work shifts. Final class times will be confirmed based on interest and availability.
