Intro to WTA's Outdoor Leadership Training

Washington Trails Association’s Outdoor Leadership Training (OLT) program gets school-age youth outside by educators and community leaders with the skills and resources they need to lead safe, fun and inclusive outdoor experiences. WTA’s OLT program offers hands-on learning through hiking, snowshoeing, camping and backpacking workshops.


In this free webinar session, you will learn more about WTA’s OLT program, including: 

  • Specific curriculum taught at our workshops
  • How to use OLT resources, such as our gear libraries and assistance for your group
  • Testimonials from other outdoor educators on how they utilize the OLT program

WTA focuses recruitment, resources and outreach on communities that have historically faced barriers to outdoor exploration. The OLT riority audience are organizations serving youth who attend schools where 40 percent or more of the students qualify for free or reduced price lunch and/or schools that have a student body with at least 40 percent students of color.
