This is the Readiness Assessment for Habitat for Humanity Portland Region's Homeownership Program.

Please note: this is not an application for Habitat's homeownership program.
This questionnaire is intended to identify whether or not you meet the minimum qualifications to move forward with a full application for Habitat's Homeownership program.

If you meet the minimum qualifications, you will be invited to create a login for Habitat's application portal and can submit an application through the portal, or in-person at our office. You will be asked to share more in-depth information about your income and we will verify all information provided on your application.

If you do not meet the minimum qualifications, we encourage you to review the resources shared once you complete this form and fill this out again when you feel you may meet the minimum qualifications. You can still move forward with an application if you wish to do so.

By filling out this form, your email address will not be added to any marketing or information distribution lists. We collect your name and email solely for the purpose of answering any follow up questions you may have about this form or your responses to it, by being able to confirm which response belongs to you.

Page 2 - Minimum Income

Habitat has two income requirements for the homeownership program: a minimum requirement for the income of the applicant and co-applicant, and a maximum income for all income-earning household members.

Below, you will calculate the total pre-tax income of both the applicant and co-applicant (if there is one).

This minimum income requirement ensures that the applicant and co-applicant can afford the mortgage on their new home, meaning monthly payments are less than 34% of their combined income.

Income is complicated. If you are close to the minimum or maximum income, if you have questions about how to calculate your income, or otherwise have questions about this, please call us at 503.287.9529 ext. 1324
