Welcome to the Shmunis Internship Program!

We're so glad you are excited to learn and build your skills with us this summer.

Please be sure to review the eligibility, time commitment and requirements for this program before applying:

You will need to be available June 22-July 31, 2026 to work in person 20 hours a week
You will need to attend our weekly Wednesday Workshops in person from 10am-1pm.
You may miss up to one week of work total, including one workshop.

Program Dates: June 22-July 31, 2026

There is a $550 Early Bird Program Fee for those who apply by January 12 and are accepted into the Internship. The fee is $600 for those applications that are received AFTER January 13.

This fee is not due at the time of submitting this application, but only if applicants are accepted into the program after March 31.

Financial Aid is available and can be requested once the teen is accepted into SIP.

This form requires a parent/guardian signature at the end.

Application Deadline: February 6, 2026

Teens will be notified by February 25 whether or not they have moved onto the interview process.

PROGRAM & TIME COMMITMENT

PROGRAM DATES: June 22-July 31, 2026 (six weeks)

Weekly Wednesday Morning Workshops from 10:00 am-1:00 pm

20/hours per week at placement

One half-day Service-Learning Project

Siyum (Graduation) Ceremony on the week of July 27th (final dates TBD)

Please list any activities that may conflict with your participation in the program this summer and how many hours per week you participate. If none, enter "N/A".

In addition, if your family has travel plans that overlap with any work days during the summer, please include those dates here. This will not exclude you from the program as long as you meet the requirements. If none, enter "N/A".

As such, we ask both you, the Intern Applicant, and your Parent/Guardian(s) to discuss this commitment with each other.

We ask that BOTH you, the Applicant, and your Parent agree to the following commitments by checking the boxes to let us know you agree:

I am able to commit to the required weekly scheduled workshops on Wednesday mornings from 10:00 am-1:00 pm each week of the internship from June 22-July 31, 2026
I will arrive on time for all weekly workshops and events and stay until the end, unless I give advance notice.
If I have to miss a workshop for an unforeseen reason, I will call, email or text my YouthFirst Regional Director within 3 days in advance.
I have written about any significant travel plans that I know of at this time.
I acknowledge that this program is competitive and that many teens apply, but not all are accepted. If I am accepted, I commit to participating fully, remaining in the program for its entire duration, and showing up consistently.
