How have ordinary people leveraged their power to help America continuously live up to our shared ideal of a country by the people, for the people? Where do we pull the levers? It's not only at the ballot box...  Change doesn’t only happen far away- it starts at home. Through dialogue and local exploration, Origins: Stories of Home focuses on how ordinary people in our community have shaped democracy and civil rights. Origins: Stories of Home is an NCCJ program for a diverse cohort of 20-25 adults (18+). Together, through dialogue and travel, we will explore some of the movements (past and present) that have helped shape American democracy.
