The New England Aquarium's Teen Internship program provides job experience as well as job skills coaching and mentoring. We aim to empower and provide teens with the opportunity to become engaged in our Aquarium operations and play a key part in our conservation & education efforts. Teen interns are paid $15/hour and work 20-25 hours per week depending on their department and funding source. Each week, teen interns typically work two full days onsite at the Aquarium and one half day virtual professional development course. 

Please note that due to funding, the majority of teen internship positions are open to residents of Boston or Cambridge. We have an extremely limited number of positions open to teens who reside elsewhere.

TRAINING AND WORK DATES The 2026 Summer Teen Internship program consists of one week of training and six weeks of work. To participate in this program, you must attend all seven weeks.
