Essential Criteria

Experience of volunteer recruitment, employment services or community engagement.

Understanding of the barriers to employment & effective strategies to support progression.

Proven experience delivering, facilitation and evaluation of accredited training, ideally OCN, or similar awarding body.

Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, verbally and in writing.

Experience of working with and organising volunteers, individually and with groups.

Understanding of safeguarding and experience of risk assessment in relation to working with volunteers and minors.

Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to adapt and manage competing priorities in a busy working environment, whilst maintaining high standards.

Experience of working as part of a team and the ability to work independently and use your own initiative.

Strong computer skills and experience in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Valid driving licence and access to a car to undertake duties associated with this role. Flexible and available to work occasional evenings and a regular Saturday on rota.

Desirable Criteria

Relevant qualification in facilitation, training delivery and development, or volunteer management.

Experience in delivering programmes and facilitating groups of primary and post-primary school age.

Experience in designing and developing materials, sessions and programmes.

Experience of delivering training and facilitation to cross-community and vulnerable groups especially mental health challenges

Broad understanding and knowledge of community relations, community regeneration and global development.
