Introduction
Thank you for your interest in the 2026 Media Services Workshop. 

This workshop will run from June 1 to June 12, 2026 (Modules 1: Audio & Radio Production) and June 22 to July 3, 2026 (Module 2: Video Production & Film Making) in Langley, British Columbia, Canada. See https://www.internationalmediaservices.org/training for more information on the modules.
 
The CanIL Summer Orientation takes place on May 31, 2026, and while it is optional for workshop participants, consultants and facilitators, we strongly encourage and welcome you to attend.

Registration Details
Duration: 5 weeks (June 1 to July 3, 2026)
Timeline: CanIL Summer Orientation: May 31, 2026 (optional but strongly encouraged)
                  Module 1 - Audio & Radio Production June 1 to June 12, 2026 (2 weeks)
                  Break June 13 to June 21, 2026 (1 week)
                  Module 2 - Video Production & Film Making June 22 to July 3, 2026 (2 weeks)
Cost: $250 for one module (not including housing, meals and other fees); $500 for both modules (not including housing, meals and other fees). Payment is due by May 24, 2026 and is done by PayPal. The link will also be sent to you upon acceptance to the workshop.

Housing
On-campus housing is available during the summer session. The options are shared dorm room with shared washroom and group kitchen. Having the whole room to yourself is also possible. Unfortunately there will be no apartment available for families with childrenAs an alternative option, there are also a number of hotels near campus and Airbnb accommodations.

Please note that there is no meal plan included in on-campus housing, and the cafeteria closed in the summer. Workshop participants must buy their own groceries and can use the shared kitchen in the dorms to cook. Students and workshop participants often form cooking groups to share in the cost and preparation responsibilities. Shared kitchen facilities will be supplied with dishes and appliances.

Insurance
It is required that you have sufficient health insurance to cover you during this workshop and your time at CanIL.
By sending in this form, I confirm that I fulfill the following conditions for participation:
  • English language level: Sufficient understanding and expression of oral and written presentations, texts and instructions (at least Common European Framework of Reference for Languages [CEFR] Level B1).
  • Basic IT skills: Is able to locate and organize files on a computer, is used to basic computer software for text editing and email communication, is familiar with general software interface principles.  
Photo Directory
CanIL has an internal photo directory that faculty and staff use in order to get to know all our students and workshop participants.
