OBKLA Volunteer Group with K12, The Neighborhood,  and Rabbi Dara - February 10, 2026

obkla 02.2026

Dear K12 Families,

Many of you, or your children, have already experienced the joy of a cooking night at Our Big Kitchen Los Angeles. We’re excited to invite our Isaiah K12 community to gather for another meaningful evening of cooking, connection, and service together at OBKLA. (You can learn more about their incredible work at www.obkla.org.)

Date, Time & Place
Tuesday, February 10 at 6:30 pm
8657 W. Pico Blvd. (a few blocks east of Robertson Blvd.)

Cost
Reserving the kitchen for the evening, including all food and supplies, costs $1,800. To help make this night possible, we are asking participants to contribute $25 per person. If this presents a financial hardship, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Rabbi Dara. We want this experience to be fully inclusive, and we never want cost to be a barrier to participation.

Who Should Come
Please bring family members and friends! The ideal group size is 30–60 participants. Younger children are welcome. Stools are available for those who can’t quite reach the tables, and even tiny hands can help by labeling hundreds of meal containers.

What to Wear
Please wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. A hat or other hair covering is required; if you don’t bring one, a hair net will be provided.

Additional donations to support our partnership with OBKLA may be made through Rabbi Dara’s discretionary fund and earmarked for this event.

We hope you’ll join us for this hands-on evening of generosity, teamwork, and shared purpose.
