River Rally 2026 Scholarship Application

Applicant Information

We encourage all speakers and attendees of River Rally to share their personal pronouns, if they feel comfortable doing so. By sharing your pronouns, we can all work to create a culture of inclusion and safety for transgender, gender neutral, non-binary, genderqueer, and two-spirit River Rally speakers and attendees. Learn more about personal pronouns and why they matter.

Explore the River Rally Schedule for more information about these meetings and who should attend.

Collecting this data is one of the best ways for us to understand the impact of our work, the extent of our reach, and our progress toward becoming a more inclusive organization that welcomes and supports individuals from marginalized communities and/or with marginalized identities. This information helps us identify disparities in who benefits from our support, which then directly informs decisions about the changes we need to make as we work to secure abundant clean water for all. We recognize that issues of identity are personal and complex, and we thank you for entrusting us with this information.

We will do our best to accommodate preferences other than English, and may be in touch with you to get more details about your specific needs.

Recognizing the benefits of a plant-based diet, especially for catered events where it is less likely that all prepared food will be consumed; as much as possible, River Rally menus will trend vegetarian by default. Registration will include the Welcome Reception Monday, breakfast and lunch on Tuesday, breakfast, lunch and dinner on Wednesday, and breakfast and lunch on Thursday.

We aim to make River Rally an inclusive and engaging experience for all of our attendees. Please contact Merix at riverrally@rivernetwork.org if you want to share more about your specific needs.

Application

Volunteers at River Rally are responsible for distributing badges, t-shirts, and other conference materials at registration; answering questions about the program and schedule; and/or greeting attendees outside of conference venues. Volunteers have an enhanced opportunity to get to know other water, justice, and river advocates at River Rally through this cohort!

*River Network has a limited number of travel stipends, and we ask that you only select this option based on need. River Network will provide a set amount to offset the cost of travel and lodging for awarded applicants.
