SCHOOL AND CLASSROOM CULTURE
Purpose: Learn about school/classroom culture, policies, and practices.
Ask:
Does the school have a school-wide positive behavior or classroom management program or focus? (e.g. PBIS, TEACH etc.) If so, what is that program?
Ask:
What are the most important rules and procedures for your class that I can help reinforce?

What are some of the positive behavior reinforcement strategies that I can help reinforce?

Do you have any guidance you’d like to share regarding how to build positive relationships and rapport with students?

Learn about school/classroom academic goals, clarify roles and responsibilities, meeting cadence/times and high-leverage instructional practices.

Does the school have school-wide academic goals for this school year? If so, what are they?
Ask:
Do you have any classroom-specific academic goals for this school year? If so, what are they?
Ask:
What are some ways I can reinforce school-wide or classroom academic goals with my prioritized students?
Ask:
Do you have any high leverage instructional strategies you’d like me to learn and implement? (e.g. scaffolding strategies, engagement strategies etc.) If so, what are they?

Which 1-4 students would you like me to work with during whole-group core/Tier 1 instruction?
