Summer 2026 YESS Student Registration

Thank you for your interest in Youth Engaged in Sustainable Systems (YESS). YESS is a summer course that allows students to earn school credit and a stipend. Students will participate in a combination of classroom and field-based programming. Upon completion, students will receive an Industry-Recognized Credential designed to help employers recognize skills and competencies in job applicants.


This form, and accompanying document attachments, must be completed and submitted before the first day of your program.

Gear Information
We are working to provide some gear for your summer program. Please provide your size information below.

The following steps will require that you have a PDF editor or a printer to complete the attachments. 
  1. Download the forms below and complete the fillable version online or print them and complete them by hand.
  2. Save a digital copy of the completed form. If you complete the form online, save it to your device. If you complete it by hand, scan or take a photo of the form and save it to your device.

If you neither have a PDF editor or a printer, please let your YESS teacher know and we will ensure that you receive paper copies to complete before the start of your program.

Note: if you have already completed this form and you are now resubmitting the form to attach the attachments, it will not let you resubmit. Instead, please email them to our Associate Director of Green Jobs, Heather Spalding, at hspalding@pacificeducationinstitute.org.


Photo/Video Release
Please review and accept this release if you are willing to have your image used for PEI's communications purposes:

For good and valuable consideration, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, I hereby authorize the Pacific Education Institute (PEI) to use my likeness in a photograph in any and all of its publications, including but not limited to all PEI printed and digital publications. I understand and agree that any photograph using my likeness will become property of PEI and will not be returned. 

I acknowledge that since my participation with PEI is voluntary, I will receive no financial compensation. 

I hereby irrevocably authorize PEI to edit, alter, copy, exhibit, publish or distribute photo and/or video for purposes of publicizing PEI’s programs or for any other related, lawful purpose. In addition, I waive the right to inspect or approve the finished product, including written or electronic copy, wherein my likeness  appears. Additionally, I waive any rights to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of the photo/video. 

I hereby hold harmless and release and forever discharge PEI from all claims, demands, and causes of action which I, my heirs, representatives, executors, administrators, or any other persons acting on my behalf, or on behalf of my estate have or may have by reason of this 
authorization. Pictures/footage were taken and shared with my knowledge and permission.

If student is under 18, signature of Parent or Guardian is required.
