Thank you for your interest in being a Reading Rally Guest for the 2026 Wise Readers to Leaders Summer Literacy Program!

We are committed to providing a free summer literacy and enrichment program for students from under-resourced communities. Through our summer program, we help students improve their reading levels, foster a love of learning, and create future leaders for a diverse world.

Reading Rally is a morning “pep rally” that celebrates literacy, mindfulness, friendship, creativity, and empowerment. Read Aloud Guests are invited to participate in Reading Rally by reading a short picture book to the scholars and sharing about themselves and their role in the community. Read Aloud Guests can bring a favorite book from home or have one provided for them.

Time commitment – 8:30 AM - 9:15 AM on a weekday during our summer program.

Read Aloud Guests must be 18 years of age or older.

Our program relies on the dedication of volunteers like you. We greatly appreciate your generosity and time.

List three dates, in order of preference, when you are available to attend our Reading Rally. A member of the WRTL staff will contact you to confirm your assigned date. Our Summer Program runs from June 22 to July 31.

We will NOT have Reading Rally Guests on July 3 and July 6.
