We’re excited to welcome El Dorado Search and Rescue as our featured speakers for this special Trail Talk.

Our Trail Talk Speaker Series provides a platform for local experts to share their knowledge and how their work connects to the Tahoe Rim Trail, all in support of our mission to inspire stewardship and responsible recreation.

During the evening program, the El Dorado Search and Rescue team will lead an approximately one-hour presentation covering topics such as:

• The work Search and Rescue performs throughout El Dorado County

• What it looks like to respond to a call out on the trail

• Real-world scenarios and common backcountry incidents

• How recreators can stay safe, prepared, and self-reliant

• Ways to get involved with or support Search and Rescue efforts

• Opportunity for Q and A

There’s a lot of curiosity around Search and Rescue, and this is a great opportunity to learn firsthand about the incredible work these volunteers do, while gaining valuable knowledge to help keep yourself and our trail community safe.
