NACCOM 2026-2031 Strategy: Member and Stakeholder Consultation

As we come to an end of our current strategy (2022–2026) and prepare to develop our new strategy, we would love to get feedback from as many of our members, partners and key stakeholders as possible.

There will be multiple opportunities to participate in this strategy review and development process, including two surveys. This first survey is focused on a review of our current strategy as it finishes; How we have done, where we have added value, what we could’ve done differently.

You can download a copy of our current strategy if you wish to remind yourself of the details.

This first survey should take you about 15-20 minutes to complete. Our second survey will be shared later in the year.

Please be as thorough and as honest as you feel able to. The primary focus of this survey is for us to learn! We may use what you say externally, but if it’s at all identifiable, we will either not use it or ask your express permission first.

Deadline for completing the survey is Monday 13 April 2026.

Section 1 - Visions and Values

Section 2 - Strategic priorities

In 2022, we said that we would work towards these goals by:
  • Working with those that know best: Ensuring people with lived experience play a core and equitable role in creating and sharing the solutions to ending destitution promoted by NACCOM.
  • Being evidence-led: We will use the evidence from our members and our work with people with lived experience to push for policies and practice to prevent and support the end to homelessness and destitution.
  • Thinking local; influencing national: We will take a more localised approach to support members where they are and where they could be to design out destitution and influence change locally, regionally and nationally.
  • Building strategic partnerships: We will build more strategic partnerships across different sectors, making the most of our unique place sitting across the migration, asylum, welfare rights, homelessness and faith sectors and the ability we have to gather and present evidence on the experiences of member organisations and people with lived experience where these sectors meet.
  • Making sure our house is in order: We will ensure NACCOM is a well-run, well-resourced, strategic organisation that is meeting the changing needs of our network, for example through implementing the learning from our Design Lab research with members.
  • Modelling the way we want to see the world: Operating in a way that is demonstrable to our values that is transparent, inclusive, anti-racist and promotes well-being. This will include a refresh of our values to turn them into behaviours we can use to hold ourselves to account.
