Summer Term: Technical Development & Competitive Programs
Thank you for being a part of Row New York!

Summer Term: July 6 – August 14, 2026

The focus of Summer Term rowing will be to provide athletes with an opportunity to train in a variety of boat classes (doubles, quads, fours, and eights) in preparation for the Fall rowing season.

Competitive: For those craving a bit of racing experience in addition to summer training and development, we offer a Competitive program with opportunities to race at the Philadelphia Youth Regatta and the Overpeck Summer Sprints.

Development: Athletes will expand their skill set, receive video analysis in conjunction with rowing machine instruction to improve individual technical performance, and enhance rowing fitness through both land and water-based workouts.

O.A.R.S.: The summer rowing program will include a number of trips and activities, throughout the New York Metropolitan Area. We aim to give our participants an opportunity to connect with the City, bond as a community of athletes, and experience new things–all as opportunities for personal growth and development.

Trips take place Tuesdays and Thursdays (11:30 AM – 3:00 PM).

NOTE: All events are in NYC or accessible by public transit. Dates are firm, but events are tentative. RSVPs and a permission slip will be required for each event. Lunch will be provided.

Summer Rowing Program Schedule:

Mondays 7:00–9:30 am

Tuesdays 7:00–3:00 pm

Wednesdays 7:00–9:30 am

Thursdays 7:00–3:00 pm

Fridays 7:00–9:30 am

Program Fees
Row New York is a non-profit organization made possible by grants and donations from generous supporters.

Row New York has a fee structure that depends on household income. Because of this, Row New York requests information about our participant's household income. For families earning less than $100,000 a year, the program is completely free. For households who earn $100,000 or more in gross annual income, we charge a fee per season. We will invoice you separately via email. Summer fees will be due July 7, 2026.

Please note: Summer fees are calculated with the understanding that many students may not be able to attend every week due to vacation plans. Thus, the fees are significantly less than school-year fees. We do not prorate fees if your student needs to miss a portion of the summer term.
