The CSUS Work Force Summer Program is a FREE six-week in-person summer program for rising 6th and 7th grade (current 5th and 6th grade) students. Preference is given to students who will be attending CSUS in the fall. Preference is given to families living in Cambridge Housing Authority developments and leased housing, or who qualify for free/reduced lunch, though any family is welcomed to apply regardless of their housing/income status.
The goal of CSUS Work Force Summer Program is to engage scholars in STEAM based projects to prevent summer learning loss through fun activities, and promote healthy social-emotional development through SEL rich curriculum. Through youth-initiated group projects, peer to peer learning, guest speakers, and field trips, students will learn all about STEAM topics, how to effectively engage with their peers and teachers, and how to increase their academic success in middle school and beyond!
