Dr. Gerry Ebalaroza-Tunnell (Dr. G) has been deeply engaged in truth-telling and historical preservation since the inception of the National Native American Boarding School Healing Coalition (NABS). She was brought on as a contractor during the site visit at the Tulalip Tribes in Washington State and has since traveled with the NABS team to Utah and Hawai‘i to document and honor the lived experiences of boarding school survivors. As a part-time Oral History Project Specialist, she continues this critical work, ensuring that these stories are preserved with integrity and respect.
As the Founder and CEO of Co3 Consulting: Co-Creating Cohesive Communities, Dr. G is dedicated to fostering transformative leadership and advancing systemic change. Her work is rooted in the Guiding Principles of A.L.O.H.A., integrating cultural knowledge and contemporary leadership strategies to support organizational and community development.
Born and raised in Palolo Valley and Pearl City, O‘ahu, and now residing in Bothell, Washington, Dr. G draws from her deep ancestral and cultural knowledge to inform her work. She holds a doctorate from the California Institute of Integral Studies in Transformative Studies and Consciousness, where her dissertation, The Evolution of AloHā: Systemic Change through Personal Transformation, explores the intersection of personal growth and systemic transformation.
Dr. G is also the award-winning author of Let’s Live Aloha, a children’s book that introduces young readers to the values of empathy, adaptability, and emotional intelligence. She provides a framework for cultivating meaningful connections and fostering a more compassionate world through the acronym A.L.O.H.A. (Ask, Listen, Observe, Heart, Adapt).
